The Operator's Lab

About

I'm an engineer working inside a professional Japanese racing team in the FIA F4 / Super Formula Lights paddock. I've spent years thinking about setup, tyre management, and the mechanical details that most guides gloss over.

This site exists because most JDM content online is either pure speculation or written by people who've never touched a real car in a competitive context. I can't share proprietary data or name the teams I work with — but I can share general engineering knowledge that applies to street cars and trackday builds.

The Japanese Kitchen vertical started because I got tired of "best Japanese knife" articles written by people who clearly hadn't cooked with them. I cook seriously, I use these tools daily, and I have opinions.
